At Liberty Connections and our Auxiliary: Supporting our Women Veterans

On April 10, members of our American Legion Auxiliary Unit 454 assisted in the weekend retreat for women veterans hosted by At Liberty Connections. The Auxiliary helped with registration and provided lunch for all in attendance.

At Liberty Connections is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2023 that provides non-therapy, trauma-informed equine-assisted activities specifically for veterans, their families, and individuals impacted by trauma. Located in the NC/NH area, it focuses on building trust, connection, and emotional healing by letting the horse choose to interact, rather than using traditional, forced methods.
