Women Veterans Healthcare Summit: June 18 & 19
American Legion Post 543 (our neighbor in Saint James) will host the ‘Women Veterans Health Care Summit’ Thursday, June 18 and Friday, June 19, 8:30AM-4PM both days, at the Homer E. Wright Event Center to address the unique health care challenges faced by women veterans.
Brunswick County is home to approximately 15,000 veterans, including an estimated 2,000-3,000 women veterans whose health care needs are often underserved and more complex than those of their male counterparts.
This free meeting is offered to Women Veterans in Brunswick County and the surrounding areas. The program will include informative lectures, engaging exhibits, and interactive breakout sessions designed to educate, encourage discussion, and connect participants with valuable resources.
There is no cost to attend. Registration is encouraged, and while the conference is free, donations are graciously accepted to help support Post 543 programs such as this seminar and other veteran and community centric activities
Questions and registration here.
Thank you!.
